Biography

I was born in Poole, Dorset, and have nurtured a keen interest in jewellery design and composition from a young age.

Having worked within jewellery retail, I soon realised that my fascination lay in creating my own pieces rather than marketing commercial jewellery.

Previously, I pursued a career within the dance sector of Performing Arts for a number of years. However working within this artistic field as both a performer and teacher I maintained an ongoing interest and ambition to produce my own jewellery.

Having resolved to pursue this passion I threw myself into jewellery work with a series of intensive workshops, building on my previous knowledge.

Through my dance experience I have acquired an interest in, and appreciation of, items that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also creative, fluid and original.

My designs are influenced primarily by organic forms and natural textures, whilst exploring traditional handmade techniques.

I now work from home in my custom built workshop, designing and producing work for galleries, exhibitions and special commissions.
